Rocklin Police make arrest in domestic violence dispute
On Jan. 4, Rocklin Police received a call from a victim who said her husband was threatening her with violence and police responded, according to department officials.
Officers responded to the domestic violence incident at 3:43 p.m. Jan. 4, according to Rocklin Police Department spokesman Lt. Scott Horrillo.
Rocklin Police arrested 52-year-old Gary Chudomelka on charges of assault with great bodily injury, domestic violence, brandishing a weapon and threat with intent to cause injury, according to the Placer County inmate database.
Horrillo was asked how common these cases are in Rocklin.
“That is a difficult question to answer,” Horrillo said. “What I can tell you is the Rocklin Police Department responded to approximately 100 domestic violence-related incidents total in the year 2018.”
The spouse sustained injuries during Friday’s dispute.
“The victim sustained minor to moderate injuries,” Horrillo said.
Chudomelka’s bail is set at $76,500. He is currently booked at the South Placer jail in west Roseville, as of press time.
