On Saturday afternoon, Rocklin Police responded to a vehicle collision at Sunset Boulevard and Fairway Drive, according to Rocklin Police spokesman Lt. Scott Horrillo.

According to Horrillo, the collision involved a vehicle that collided with a juvenile bicyclist.

The vehicle driver, 23-year-old Travis Harrison-Hunt of Mokelumne, did not stop at the collision scene, according to Horrillo.

With assistance of first-hand eyewitness accounts, Horrillo said, officers located the suspect’s vehicle at Sunset Boulevard and Pacific Street as the driver was attempting to flee south.

According to Horrillo, Harrison-Hunt was arrested and booked into the South Placer Jail.

Harrison-Hunt is no longer in custody, according to the Placer County inmate database.

Horrillo said the victim received moderate injuries and was taken to a hospital.

“As of now (1:30 p.m. Thursday), we have no update on the victim,” Horrillo said. “It is believed the victim suffered a leg injury but the Rocklin Police Department has not received a medical release form from the parents.”
