Rockin’ Rock Wood Tournament

For those not yet done with basketball after the NBA Finals, then line up for the boys basketball Rock Wood Tournament coming to high schools Rocklin, Whitney and Woodcreek June 29 through July 1.

Featuring 40 hardwood teams from Antelope to Woodcreek and every school in between, pool play will begin at 3 p.m. June 29, 10 a.m. June 30 with the final starting at 8 a.m. Sunday.

On Sunday, the teams will be seeded according to pool play. 

Head coaches Rob Ferraro (Rocklin), Nick French (Whitney) and Drew Hibbs (Woodcreek) will direct the tournaments at their schools. Tickets are $8 adults, $5 ages 6-17 and $5 for those 65-plus and kids less than 5 are free.

For out-of-towners, there is plenty to do in the area when your team or teams may not be playing: Golfland/Sun Splash, Top Golf, The Galleria and Fountain malls, Blue Oaks Cinemas and Extreme Laser Craze, and for the adults – Thunder Valley Casino.
