With the new school year approaching, Sierra College students are gearing up for fall semester 2018 that begins Aug. 20 and ends Dec. 8.

Sierra College at the Rocklin campus hosted its annual summer workshops to help better prepare students for the upcoming school year.

These workshops continue to be a major success for student preparation, according to Sierra College spokeswoman Susanne Michaels.

“Three-hundred-and-forty new full-time students came onto the Sierra College Campus for Summer Jam,” Michaels said. “These programs are designed to prepare (the new incoming students) for college and even get them thinking about their career path down the road.”

Michaels emphasized the support system that students are introduced to at Sierra College. “They were connected to many different programs and had an orientation to the environment itself. They were also introduced to the network of support that will be available to them on campus (through our student resource center and guidance counselors)” said Sabrina Pape, Library and Learning Resource Center dean.

Sierra College currently has more than 20,000 students at the Rocklin campus. More information about class schedules and the academic calendar can be found at
