Crime in Your Community: Auburn jail shower-room altercation; Arrest in Lincoln-area fire; More

Sept. 11

A 36-year-old North Auburn man reported someone used his credit card to make unauthorized purchases totaling $429 at Williams-Sonoma.

Jason Jeremy Sturmer, 31, of Stockton was arrested on a warrant and then also booked on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance after a check of three persons going door-to-door in the Stoneybrook Court area of North Auburn selling solar power products without a permit.

A stolen vehicle was located in the 3400-block Cedar Springs Lane area of Meadow Vista.

Rosaline Monique Thomas, 38, a Sacramento transient, was arrested on a shoplifting allegation outside Home Depot in North Auburn and then also booked into Placer County Jail on suspicion of child endangerment and resisting arrest after she reportedly failed to follow instructions from a deputy, with a child in her vehicle.

Travis James Pauley, 36, a transient, was arrested in the 5000-block Colds Springs Road area of Foresthill on suspicion of peeping.

Aaron Demetrius Jordan, 25, who is described by the Sheriff’s Office as having an “unknown address,” was arrested on suspicion of resisting a deputy with violence and being in North Auburn’s Regional Park after dusk. The Sheriff’s Office reported the suspect was sleeping in the park and refused to leave when requested to do so by a security guard. When a deputy approached, the suspect became combative and fled running after pushing the peace officer. A pursuit ensued before the suspect was pulled to the ground. Jordan allegedly punched the deputy several times in a struggle before being handcuffed.

Sept. 10

Heather Janine Snook, 39, a transient, was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of a meth pipe. The arrest took place at Interstate 80 and the Clipper Gap exit north of Auburn.

An 11800-block Lorenson Road home in North Auburn was reportedly broken into, with an estimated loss from the burglary of $4,850.

Casey Forman, 41, with no known address, was arrested on suspicion of theft. The arrest followed a report of a former resident stealing $13,000 in property from a locked bedroom at a residence in the 4100-block Bell Road area of North Auburn.

Sept. 9

Deputies fielded a report of a BB gun being discharged in a grossly negligent manner in the 11600-block of Shadow Mountain Way in North Auburn. A house was shot with pellets and a front porch light damaged.

Lara Lea Bradford, 48, of Foresthill was arrested at the Foresthill Divide School in Foresthill on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance. She was also booked into the jail on suspicion of resisting arrest after allegedly kicking at deputies while being placed inside the patrol vehicle.

A warrant arrest and a subsequent search led to further charges against Eric Anand Prasad, 24, of Elk Grove of cocaine possession. The arrest took place at the Lincoln area’s Thunder Valley Casino.

Sept. 8

A car window was smashed while the vehicle parked in the 24000-block of Ben Taylor Drive in Colfax. There was no apparent theft. Damage was an estimated $300.

A probation search led to an arrest of James Giddeon Smith, 47, an Auburn transient on suspicion of possession of a lock-picking kit. He was contacted by a deputy outside a closed business in the 23000-block of Foresthill Road in Foresthill.

Sept. 7

Jonathan Edward Johnson, 39, an Auburn transient was booked at the Placer County Jail in North Auburn on fresh charges of assault on a peace officer after an altercation in the booking shower room. Johnson was initially arrested the morning of Sept. 6 on suspicion of trespassing at the North Auburn Target.

Sept. 6

Amy Deanne Quillen, 32, of Auburn was arrested on a warrant at 1st Street and C Avenue in North Auburn and then also booked into Placer County Jail on suspicion of possession of burglary tools. The Sheriff’s Office said a search found a safety hammer glass-breaking tool in the suspect’s waistband.

Sept. 4

Michael John Sullivan, 29, of Granite Bay was arrested at 10:34 p.m. outside Bayside Church, 8191 Sierra College Blvd. in Granite Bay on suspicion of heroin possession.

Sept. 3

Yang Lu, 36, of San Francisco was arrested on suspicion of battery at Secret Town Road and Interstate 80 north of Colfax. The suspect was frustrated with the female driver in the car he was in and allegedly punched her in the head and arm, the report said.

Marcus Raymond Hill Colbert, 39, of Rocklin was booked at the Placer County Jail in North Auburn on suspicion of battery on a peace officer with great bodily injury. The suspect allegedly became violent in the booking area and a jail officer suffered a cut to the elbow that required stitches.

Sept. 2

Ashley Burdette Baker, 26, of Auburn was arrested on suspicion of possession of meth for sales, possession of hypodermic syringes and three meth pipes, and possession of a counterfeit $100 bill. The arrest occurred in the area of Bell Road and Quartz Drive in North Auburn.

Justin Lee Dockery, 32, of Citrus Heights was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance. The arrest took place at Trentino Street and Rioja Street in Roseville.

Gerald Lee Rower II, 50, of Olivehurst, was arrested on suspicion of recklessly starting a fire. The suspect was found standing in a field observing a fire burning out of control, the Sheriff’s Office reported. Rower had a lighter in his hand and purportedly told deputies that he had dropped a blunt on the ground.

Aug. 31

Neil Scott Rybicki, 39, of Sacramento was arrested near the 9700-block Golf Club Drive area of Granite Bay at 6:25 a.m. on a burglary charge.
