Alleged car burglar caught on stolen bike

A man suspected of a series of car burglaries in Rocklin was arrested after being caught on a stolen bicycle. According to the police report, Angelo Miguel Rodriguez was arrested around 5 a.m. Aug. 24 after confessing he used a stolen bicycle to cruise around town looking, for what police describe, as targets of opportunity. According to Rocklin Police Lt. Lon Milka, the victim of one of the car burglaries saw Rodriguez breaking into his car. Rodriguez is accused of three separate vehicle burglaries in the area of Twin Towers Court and Great Divide Court. The 24-year-old suspect reportedly told police he stole the Murray bicycle off of a victim’s front porch. Rodriquez was charged with petty theft and burglary. ~ Jon Brines
