To raise funds for Nik Nunn, a 14-year-old struggling with cancer, his Rocklin family has joined Tahoe Joe’s Famous Steak-house in Roseville, where a portion of food bills from diners’ meals on Tuesday, Dec. 16 and Sunday, Dec. 28 will go toward the Nunn family. The second to youngest of five children, Nik Nunn was an avid soccer and baseball player, as well as video game extraordinaire, until Feb. 24, 2008 when Nik began having head-aches. He was soon diagnosed with medulablastoma, a cancerous brain tumor. Since February, Nik has undergone an aggressive and extensive protocol of radiation treatment and five rounds of chemotherapy. At Tahoe Joe’s on Dec. 28, raffle tickets will also be available for purchase and prize donations are also welcomed, with 100 percent of proceeds going toward the family. Volunteers are also needed on Dec. 28. Tahoe Joe’s Famous Steakhouse in Roseville is located at 1905 Taylor Road. For food bill proceeds to go toward the Nunn family, please bring in this article or flier. Donations can also be made to Nik Nunn c/o The Mechanics Bank, 2251 Douglas Blvd., Roseville, CA 95661.
