Bounce for a buck with canned food donation

Donate a can of food, receive one hour of fun. BounceU stadium in Roseville is hosting a food drive Dec 15, 16 and 17, where all guests donating non-perishable food items will get an hour of recreation for only $1 per child. Placer Food Bank will have collection bins at BounceUand local food donations will stay in the Roseville area and go toward the increased winter demand. “We’re delighted to have BounceU help us keep food on the table for children and their families in this area,” said Dave Martinez, director of Placer Food Bank in a news release. According to Josephine Suryono, owner of the facility, BounceU hosted Kids Feeding Kids last summer raising 1,700 pounds of foods over the two-day period. “BounceU is focused on youth fitness and nothing is more basic to a child’s health than good nutrition,” Suryono said in a news release. “We hope to raise awareness of food shortages and encourage our customers and friends to make regular donations to Placer Food Bank as well.” Food donations and open bounce times are at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 2:45 p.m. Monday Dec 15, 11 a.m., 2:45p.m. and 4 p.m. Tuesday Dec 16, and 2:45 p.m. and 4 p.m. Wednesday Dec 17. Each child making two non-perishable food donations will be able to bounce for $1 for one hour. Donors are encouraged to bring whatever food items they can spare.
