Boy Scouts, Lions support Spring cleanup

-A +A
Troop 29 Boy Scouts will partner with the Rocklin Lions Club to help clean up Rocklin. The two groups will be collecting e-waste items, eye glasses, newspapers, sunglasses, aluminum cans, cell phones and batteries from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday at the State Farm agency at the corner of Park Avenue and Sunset Boulevard. They will not be accepting hazardous waste, household appliances, used oil, tires or batteries. Proceeds from the recycling of these items will be used to cover Scout camp scholarships, eye exams and student scholarships. Both organizations have a long history of supporting the community. The Rocklin Lions started in 1955 and the Scout troop was founded in 1957. ~ Staff report
