Two golf tournaments have been scheduled in the area to raise funds for local and national charities.
What: ClubCorp Charity Golf Tournament
When: Friday, Oct. 12, 1 p.m.
Where: Granite Bay Golf Club
Cost: $125 per player
Benefits: Placer Breast Cancer Endowment
The sixth annual ClubCorp Charity Classic Golf Tournament will take place Friday, Oct. 12 at Granite Bay Golf Club.
The cost is $125 per person and includes green fees, cart, range balls, box lunch, and awards dinner with dancing and silent auction. Dinner only is available for $35 per person.
The tournament begins with lunch at 11:30 a.m. and the shotgun start is 1 p.m. The buffet dinner features prime rib, pasta stations, and much more.
The ClubCorp Charity Classic benefits the Placer Breast Cancer Endowment, Augie’s Quest for ALS research, and Employment Partners Care Foundation, which provides financial assistant in times of crisis.

Lions Club International will hold its annual charity golf classic Drive “Fore” Dough at Lincoln Hills Golf Club, Orchard Course Oct. 22. Check in is 7:45 a.m. with a shotgun start scheduled for 9 a.m.
