Child Advocates to hold annual golf tournament

Child Advocates of Placer County will hold its second annual golf classic at Catta Verdera Country Club in Lincoln May 3 to help raise funds to assist children.

The event includes a putting and chipping contest, plus continental breakfast and a dinner following the event. Registration begins 9:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 11:30. There is also a live auction and awards.

49er football greats Danny Bunz, Jeff Stover and George Visger will be on hand for the tournament. Bunz was star of “The Stop” when he made a critical defensive play in Super Bowl XVI.

The cost per golfer is $200 ($50 dinner only). There are also opportunities for tournament sponsors as well.

Child Advocates of Placer County works to prevent abused, neglected, and abandoned children from becoming lost in the Juvenile Dependency system. It helps these children find safe, permanent homes. The organization is located at 11641 Blocker Dr., Suite 220, Auburn; the website is
