City of Rocklin office closures, Dec. 24 through Jan. 1

The following city offices and buildings will be affected by the closure:• City Hall, 3980 Rocklin Road

• Community Services, 5460 Fifth St.
• Administration, 3970 Rocklin Road
• Corporation Yard, 4081 Alvis Court

The Police and Fire Departments will remain fully operational during this period.

The city of Rocklin’s public offices will be closed from Dec. 24 through Jan. 1 as the city conducts its 16th annual holiday furlough. Emergency services will continue to be provided at full staffing levels; however, routine services will not be available during this period.

Traditionally, the number of routine calls handled by the city between Christmas and New Year’s is low, according to a media release from the city.

“This closure is a cost savings to the city and allows employees the opportunity to spend time with their family and friends. The holiday furlough has been observed successfully for the past 15 years.”
