Representatives from the prestigious Virginia Military Institute in Lexington, Virginia said this week that Rocklin’s Brent S. Clark was one of 680 cadets just named to the Dean's List for academic excellence. Clark is a junior at the school majoring in chemistry. His parents are Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth L. Clark. Military officials added that to make the Dean's List, a cadet must have a term grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale and no grade below a C. The Virginia Military Institute has 1,600 cadets and is the nation's oldest state-supported military college in the United States. The News and World Report currently ranks it among the top five public-supported liberal arts colleges in the nation.
