Come feel the ‘Joy of Music’ with Sierra Gold Chorus

Get ready to be entertained. The Sierra Gold Chorus Christmas show, a Julia Child parody, titled “The Joy of Music” possibly has all the ingredients of music and fun to satisfy your entertainment appetite. The chorus, under the direction of Barb Tincher is the main course. Sierra Belles, Infusion, the Christmas Chorus, and several other quartets, will add some extra spice. For dessert, the Grass Valley show will feature the “TBDL” quartet and the Neutraltones quartet will be featured at the Auburn show. The Grass Valley show takes place at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5 at Unity in the Gold Country Church, 180 Cambridge Court. The Auburn show begins also at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 12 at Parkside Nazarene Church, 3885 Richardson Drive. This family show has been a sellout in past years. Tickets cost $12 for adults, children 12 and under are $5 and seniors 65 years old and older are $10. Tickets at the door will be $15 for all adults and $5 for children age 12 and under. Tickets may be purchased from any member of the chorus or by calling Joan Frink at (530) 367-3532. Every October, Sierra Gold Chorus invites women of the community to join the Christmas Chorus in singing traditional and modern Christmas carols at the annual Christmas Show. However, women are invited to attend rehearsals throughout the year on Monday evenings at 7 p.m. at Burback Hall, DeWitt Center, 11577 E Ave. in Auburn.
