Competition stiff for William Jessup basketball

OAKLAND _ The William Jessup University mens basketball team lost two games at the Holy Names University Thanksgiving Classic last weekend. California State University San Marcos tripped up the Warriors, 56-44, Saturday, and the College of Idaho topped them, 79-72, the opening night. William Jessup senior Marqus Crawford led the team in scoring both nights, totaling 21 against Idaho, and 14 in Saturday’s game. He had five and seven rebounds respectively in those contests. Rocklin’s Jordan Wilson had 13 points against San Marcos. Wilson is a junior. The 2-7 Warriors will host New Hope Christian College, 7:30 p.m., Saturday. Womens Basketball The Lady Warriors fell to 0-8 at the hands of CSU Stanislaus, Nov. 22. Senior Cassie Davidson scored 11 for WJU, and Maria Viola had six rebounds.
