APRIL 12
A Rocklin area title company reported being the victim of alleged fraud. According to the police report, an associate of Placer Title on Lonetree Boulevard reported 21 attempts by someone to clear company checks through a closed bank account. The account was closed for more than a year. The title company reported no monetary loss in the alleged unauthorized use of the account checks.
APRIL 11
Sometime overnight, an associate of Rock Creek Elementary reported a case of arson on campus. According to the police report, unknown suspect(s) lit a pizza box and sweatshirt on fire near a school classroom. No damage to the building was reported.
APRIL 10
Between 11 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. the next morning, a business reported being the victim of alleged theft from a community mailbox. According to the police report, an associate of J & S Asphalt on Yankee Hill Court reported one of their checks stolen out of the outgoing mailbox located in front of the location. The multi-unit box was allegedly pried open by an unknown suspect(s) causing $50 in damage.
APRIL 1
Between 11 a.m. and 11:15 a.m., a Whitney Ranch High School student reported being the victim of alleged theft during a fire drill. According to the police report, the teenage victim's wallet, credit cards and ID with her lunch bag were allegedly swiped out of the girls' locker room during the drill.
