Crime Log for June 19 through June 25

Information taken from Rocklin Police Department log. JUNE 25 About 4 a.m., Rocklin Police responded to a call from a security guard at the Rocklin Manor Apartments on Rocklin Road. The guard told police that a male, who appeared to be intoxicated, was hitting his car window and threatening to kill him. When they arrived on the scene, John Nicholas Rule reportedly attempted to flee and then struggled with the police officers. According to the report, Rule is facing charges of obstructing an officer. JUNE 24 About 11 p.m., a Rocklin teenager reported damage to her vehicle after a graduation party at the Rocklin Community Center. According to the police report, the 18-year-old victim told police she discovered the paint on her Toyota Matrix had been keyed. Damage is estimated at $300. JUNE 22 Sometime between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m., a driver reported someone took the handicap placard from the vehicle. According to the police report, an unknown person entered the victim’s parked unoccupied vehicle parked on the Sierra College campus and stole the handicap placard. The placard allows the driver to park in the handicap parking spaces near the front of the parking lot. JUNE 19 Sometime over the last two days, an associate at Kelly Moore Paints on Rocklin Road reported a burglary. According to the police report, unknown suspect(s) cut a padlock off a semi-trailer used for storage on the property, ransacked the inside and fled with some of the victim’s property. Property was recovered from a nearby field. Total value of the property loss was not available.
