Information taken from Rocklin Police Department log. Station 4080 Rocklin Road in Rocklin. JAN. 1 Just after midnight, two people reported alleged thefts at a New Year’s Eve Party at Bistro 33 inside the Mercedes Benz of Rocklin on Granite Drive. According to the police reports, a 27-year-old victim told police an unknown suspect(s) allegedly removed a purse off of the victim’s arm during the party. The purse allegedly contained property belonging to two separate individuals. The theft was reportedly worth $232. After the party, a 29-year-old woman reported her coat worth $650 allegedly stolen sometime during the festivities by unknown suspect(s). JAN. 1 Between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m., Rocklin police arrested an alleged transient after he reportedly entered a home he did not reside. According to the police report, 44-year-old Brian Lee Toomey gained access to a residence on Glen Oaks Drive with a key. The resident told police Toomey allegedly moved out two years ago and did not have permission to be on the premises. JAN. 2 Around 3:30 p.m., Rocklin police arrested a Sacramento man after he allegedly defrauded a sales clerk at Sportsman’s Warehouse on Lonetree Blvd. with a counterfeit check. According to the police report, Jonathan Andrew Myers was arrested for passing a counterfeit check, burglary and possession of hypodermic syringe. Police report the 37-year-old admitted to printing the fake check himself. Myers allegedly had numerous syringes with needles in his backpack which he allegedly told police he used for methamphetamine. JAN. 2 Just after 11 p.m., a Rocklin officer pulled over a white Ford F-150 at Pacific Street and East Midas Ave. after the officer reported seeing the vehicle jump the curb and wander within the lane of travel. According to the police report, the driver was identified as Shelly Eileen Barton of El Dorado. The 21-year-old was arrested for DUI after the officer reported Barton allegedly showed signs of intoxication and failed a field sobriety test.
