What brought me to write this letter is the proposition on this upcoming ballot for changing the death penalty. I am all for getting rid of it.
Many other states have gotten rid of it and have not experienced any rise in crime in result. We live in an age of advancement, yet we still use this barbaric means of punishment. I think people who commit such evil crimes should be locked up for life and have to deal with the emotions that come from it and receive therapy, and maybe then we could understand why they killed someone.
