Defoe has a vision for Rocklin

-A +A

“DeFoe, the professor, was very knowledgeable, but I didn’t like him,” Mr. Lawson said after the candidate’s night at St. Mary’s Church.” Mr. Lawson, who played President Lincoln that night, may have forgotten that the real Lincoln was disliked, maybe hated, by tens of thousands of people, and he turned out pretty well.

Dan is a good guy. He has been teacher of the year numerous times at Sierra College. He knows how to work with people to get things done. He is a 25-year resident of Rocklin and appreciates that it is a great place to live and wants to maintain this living style but improve on it. Rocklin, although a great place to live, really doesn't have a personality, one that would attract visitors and their money. He would like to build this personality by developing on Rocklin's colorful railroad and quarry history.

Auburn, Folsom, Nevada City, Loomis, Lincoln and Grass Valley all have developed a personality, a sense of place, built around their history. Dan, with the help of the City Council and Rocklin residents, can make this happen.
