I'm writing in support of Dan DeFoe for City Council. Dan has a vision for developing a downtown business district that incorporates Rocklin's unique granite mining history, along with the plans suggested by our city manager for a unique shopping area at the corner of Rocklin Road and Pacific Street. Rocklin needs a destination center that will draw residents to spend their money here, instead of in Roseville or other nearby communities.
Dan DeFoe has lived here for more than 25 years and watched our residents travel to Roseville to shop, eat and find entertainment that should have been developed here. When I have friends or family come to visit, I take them to High Hand Nursery in Loomis, Bushnell Gardens in Granite Bay, The Fountains and the Galleria. Pottery World is the only unique spot in Rocklin. We need more restaurants like Rubino’s in the downtown area and new ways of thinking on the council to make this happen.
We've done it one way in this town for years and have empty strip malls, no tax base and no downtown, downtown. Let's try a new perspective on our City Council. Let's draw some Roseville shoppers here. Please mark your ballot for Dan DeFoe.
