Departure of Carras a tremendous loss

-A +A
Rocklin parents are losing a great child advocate and wonderful educator. I deeply regret that Paul Carras is not staying with the Rocklin Unified School District to someday become our superintendent. Paul’s greatest skill is his ability to listen to parents, an art lost on the many educators who hide behind the brick wall of tenure. Paul is the opposite. He gave of himself openly and cooperatively. I was a vocal and aggressive critic of the Rocklin schools and the selfish teachers’ union that dominates it. When one of my kids needed help, Paul Carras and Steve Sampson stepped forward. Steve has already retired, and now Paul is doing so. His departure is a tremendous loss. As a parent, you are probably unaware of the hundreds of times Paul’s efforts affected your child. Take time to send Paul a thank you. It will take only a minute. He deserves it. Roger S.
