The last day to register to vote for the May 19 statewide special election is May 4. Registration forms may be picked up at all post offices and libraries in Placer County or online at sos.ca.gov. To further assist Placer County voters, voter registration forms will be placed outside the Placer County Elections Division entrance at 2956 Richardson Drive in Auburn on May 4 until midnight. Completed registration forms will be processed the next morning. In addition, completed registration forms can be placed in the secure, drive-up drop-off box located in front of the elections division. The Placer County Elections Division will be open the two weekends prior to the election. Weekend hours are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 9; Sunday, May 10; Saturday, May 16 and Sunday May 17. Elections staff will be available on these days to process vote-by-mail requests and issue vote-by-mail ballots over the counter.
