Education leaders honored at administrators meeting

Several county administrators were recognized at the annual recognition meeting of the Placer County Charter of the Association of California School Administrators, held at Winchester Country Club. The following people were publicly recognized as administrators/leaders of the year in the following categories: Placer County Administrator of the Year for 2009- 2010: Scott Leaman, Western Placer Unified School District superintendent. Lifetime Service and Leadership Award: Chuck Kilbourne, principal at Valley View Elementary School in the Rocklin Unified School District. Valuing Diversity Award: Shari Anderson, program specialist for the English Learner Program in the Rocklin Unified School District. Specific Categories Superintendent: Scott Leaman, Western Placer Unified School District superintendent. Elementary Principal: Gabe Simon, principal at Heritage Oak Elementary School in the Dry Creek Joint Elementary School District. Secondary Principal: Michael Garrison, principal at Rocklin High School in the Rocklin Unified School District. Special Education: Elena DalFavero, program specialist at Rocklin Unified School District. Secondary Co-Administrator: Mary Anne Knox, assistant principal at Rocklin High School at Rocklin Unified School District. Curriculum and Instruction Admin: Mary Boyle, assistant superintendent at Western Placer Unified School District. Central Office Administrator: Jordan White, coordinator of Gifted and Talented Education and categorical programs at Rocklin Unified School District. Adult Education Administrator: Joyce Lude, director at the Roseville Adult School in the Roseville Joint Union High School District. Special Recognition Retirees: Manny Rodriguez, assistant principal/athletic director at Whitney High School in the Rocklin Unified School District; Bob Noyes, assistant superintendent at Western Placer Unified School District and Pete Clark, assistant superintendent at Roseville City School District.
