Pictured are Talia Panadero, back row, Kourtney Nham, Samantha London, Julia Clark, Isabelle Tarver and Garrett Gethardt – all made more than 50 origami cranes; William Rehn, middle row, and Ryan Quach; and Lexi Watson, front row, Joey Holloway, Ryan Foster Theo Tran and Bryce Miller – all made 25 or more cranes during recesses or at home.
One thousand origami cranes were folded by Rocklin Elementary students recently to raise funds to help people in Japan.
Some of the children used their own allowance to buy the origami paper and sold the cranes for 50 cents or more. The money raised went to the Red Cross to support Japan’s recovery.
