A pair of 2009 William Jessup University graduates received additional accolades recently when Lucas Birchard of Lodi and Alex Dimotsantos of Las Vegas were named to the NABC Honors Court, one of the most prestigious academic honors in all of Collegiate Athletics. Birchard and Dimotsantos, who both earned degrees in Business from WJU, starred for a Warrior team that played in back-to-back conference championships. Birchard was a three-time all-league recipient in the Cal Pac and broke several school records in his four year career. Dimotsantos was a defensive force and a real team leader, averaging seven points and five rebounds per game. In order to qualify for the Honors Court, a player must have achieved at least a 3.2 grade point average for the academic year, and be a junior or senior. Both athletes earned the award for their junior and senior years.
