Rocklin City Council member Kathy Lund recommended that the city post on its Web site the forms required from council members by the Fair Political Practices Committee. The FPPC requires all council members to file Form 700, “Statement of Economic Interests,” which enumerates an elected official’s conflicts of interest and Form 460, which only applies to a “candidate or officeholder who has a controlled committee, or who has raised or spent or will raise or spend $1,000 or more during a calendar year in connection with election to office or holding office.” Although the forms are public information and are on file in City Hall, the added ease of access lends another degree of transparency, Lund said. Councilmember Peter Hill, while agreeing with Lund, wanted to add a notation in the place of Form 460 when a councilmember is not required to fill it out. Councilmember Scott Yuill commended Lund for her proposal, saying,“I support that. The more disclosure, the better.”
