NorCal All Sports Health & Fitness Expo, July 6-7, begins with a benefit run/walk at the Gold Country Fairgrounds, Aug. 6. It is open to ages 3 and up, including Special Needs Kids. The event will feature three separate distances of 1K, 5K, and 10K. There are two 1K treks; one for 3-8-year-olds, and the other for Special Needs Kids and adults. Those 9 to adult can choose their distance, as well as whether to run or walk in promoting health and fitness. The 10K course goes through beautiful Auburn Recreation State Park Canyon. The donation is $3 for adults, $1 for 6-18-year-olds, and no charge for 5 and under. There will be great goodie bags, and T-shirts for those who register by today. Walk-ons the day of the event are welcome. A dollar of each $3 donation goes to benefit Special Olympics Northern California, American Heart Association’s Search Your Heart program, and several high school sports programs.
