Future Ford Lincoln of Roseville and Ford Motor Company recently presented Rocklin High School with a $3,020 check in response to a successful Drive 4 UR School event that took place in October. The money raised from this fundraiser will go toward helping the school’s athletic departments with extra expenses like traveling and replenishing old equipment.

“We know funding for school programs is hard to come by, and we want to do our part to help make sure these programs remain available,” said Bill Walsh, general manager at Future Ford Lincoln of Roseville. “We were thrilled to have such a great turnout and to have raised so much money for Rocklin High School’s sports programs.”

How the Drive 4 UR School program works is that for every person who takes the wheel and test-drives a new Ford vehicle at one of these events, Ford Motor Company and the local dealership donate $20. When Rocklin High and Future Ford Lincoln of Roseville teamed up in October, 151 people took part in test drives, generating $3,020 for the school.

“This is such a wonderful fundraising opportunity for the community to participate in,” said Dave Bills, principal of Rocklin High School. “Ford Motor Company and Future Ford Lincoln of Roseville really have started a great program with the Drive 4 UR School events.”

Since the start of Ford’s Drive 4 UR School program in 2007, more than $11 million in donations have been generated for high schools nationwide.
