Gaines hosts first Northern California Women's conference

Assemblywoman Beth Gaines, R-Roseville, will hold her first Northern California Women’s Conference on Saturday at the Sunset Center, 2650 Sunset Blvd. in Rocklin. More than 300 women are expected to attend this free event. Assemblywoman Gaines founded the Northern California Women’s Conference to bring together professional women, community advocates, volunteers, wives and mothers from around the region to recognize achievements and share a positive message of how women can and have succeeded as leaders and partners for positive change in their communities and in their personal lives. Featured speakers include KCRA Channel 3 news anchor Edie Lambert, KFBK AM 1530 news anchor Kitty O’Neal and Ying Ma, visiting fellow of the Hoover Institution and author of “Chinese Girl in the Ghetto.” Also scheduled to speak will be Joanne Kraft, author of “Just Too Busy;” Donna Lucas, CEO and president of Lucas Public Affairs; Dr. Kathy Angkustsiri with the UC Davis MIND Institute and Julie Pulos, president of Retch.
