Girl Scouts share their green thumbs with seniors

-A +A
A troop of Daisy Girl Scouts showed off their green thumbs last Friday. Daisy Girl Scout Troop 924 completed their first service project for the residents of Casa de Santa Fe senior living center in Rocklin by painting flower pots, planting flowers and delivering them to the senior residents. The girls have been working on their Journey Awards since the troop started in December. They had to pick a “planting” service project to get their award, said troop leader Mandy Boungnasiri. After a visit to Casa de Santa Fe with their kindergarten class, they decided they wanted to hand out their planted flowers to Casa de Santa Fe residents. The girls also sang songs and hand delivered the potted flowers to the residents. ~Staff report
