Halldin Public Relations earns awards

Halldin Public Relations was honored with eight individual awards at the Sacramento Public Relations Association’s annual CAPPIES awards dinner. The company founder and president Bill Halldin of Rocklin was also named the association’s 2009 PR Professional of the Year. Halldin Public Relations, founded in 1999 and based in Placer County, was the most recognized firm at the awards dinner from Placer County. The agency maintains a diverse clientele and is a leading advisor to corporations, organizations and nonprofits that must clearly and effectively communicate their mission to clients, stakeholders and the media. “We are thrilled to be recognized in so many different categories by the Sacramento Public Relations Association,” Halldin said. “It’s a wonderful achievement to be honored by your peers. These awards showcase some examples of the hard work we put in on a daily basis for our clients.” Among the eight awards won by Halldin Public Relations were two gold medals and three silver awards, including two gold awards recognizing overall public relations programs and three silver awards for writing. “The SPRA board of directors was unanimous in its decision to select Bill Halldin as the 2009 PR Professional of the Year,” said Jana Sanders Perry, Sacramento Public Relations Association president. “This award recognizes excellence and advancement in our area’s PR industry, which Bill has clearly demonstrated not only in the last year, but also throughout his career.” Before starting his firm, Halldin had a 15-year career in journalism, government and corporate public relations. ~ Staff report
