Fundraiser for Thunder Boys' Basketball

SUNSET WHITNEY CC, June 30 _ It was estimated over 50 golfers turned out for Rocklin High School’s From the Hardwood to the Green fundraiser for Thunder Boys Basketball. Not only did players show up in support of what should become an annual tournament, sponsorship was in abundance as well. Sharing all 18 holes were Max Edge fitness, Dr. Alexander Orthodontics, Casilla Cigars, Red Bull Energy Drink, Paramount Impressions, Hacienda, Jamba Juice, Studio Mayra Photography, Smile Generation, Ensminger Law Offices, Garry Construction, round Rock 3 on 3, Tops Yogurt, Tres Agave’s, Aquarium Creations, Dickey Bar b que, Emily Smith Graphic Design, Dr. Rasi Dental Office. Helping to put on the tournament conceived by Thunder coach Troy Selvey were volunteers Cathy Bridge, Carrie Dorward, Kristi Ardissone, Melanie Cook, Erin Chimarusti, Megan Selvey, Sarah Groft, and Michael Lorente. Their efforts helped raise over $2,000 for the cagers in blue. First place went to the team of Mike Lorente, Bennett Davidson, Matt Filer, and Jim Oconner. They carded a 58 in the scramble format.
