Help a child - donate a gift to city’s Giving Tree

-A +A
The 19th annual Rocklin Community Giving Tree program is underway. The city of Rocklin Giving Tree benefits the Placer Children’s Emergency Shelter and other less fortunate children in the community. The Giving Tree is decorated with “ornaments,” which includes the child’s name, age and requested gift. Residents are invited to select an ornament, then purchase the gift listed on the ornament and return the new and unwrapped gift to the city. Ornaments should be returned and taped onto the unwrapped tree left under the Giving Tree at either the Sunset Center, located at 2650 Sunset Blvd. or the Civic Center, located at 3970 Rocklin Road. The deadline to return all ornaments and purchased gifts is 5 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 9. The gifts will be picked up by the Placer Children’s Emergency Shelter volunteers and distributed to the children by Christmas. For more information, contact Rhona Wu at 625-5564. ~Staff report
