-A +A
Do you have a chili recipe that’s a hands down family favorite? If your chili recipe has the heat to take home the top prize, there’s still time to sign up to be a chili cook at Hot Chili & Cool Cars. Celebrating its 17th year of family fun, Rocklin’s annual community event is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 18 on Pacific Street in Rocklin. Chili recipes are judged in many different categories including: Best Chili, Most Unusual Chili, Hottest Chili and People’s Choice. The top winner will receive a prize of $300 and walk away with bragging rights as the Chili Champion. The Matthew Redding Foundation will once again benefit from a portion of the chili kit sales. Hot Chili & Cool Cars is open to the public with free admission for all. This popular family event is designed for all ages with plenty of exciting activities and events. The Boy Scout pancake breakfast is returning, along with the kid’s area which will boast bounce houses, a climbing wall, face painting, games and crafts. A popular feature for kids and adults alike last year, Rocklin’s own toilet races will be returning as well.
