Increase awareness of labor and sex trafficking

South Placer AAUW hosts forum in Roseville

The Roseville-South Placer Branch of the American Association of University Women will host a Human Trafficking Forum from 7-9 p.m. Thursday, April 25, at Valley Springs Presbyterian Church, 2401 Olympus Drive, Roseville.

Experts will discuss how trafficking has become a $9 billion “business” in the Sacramento area. Speakers will represent The Grace Network, My Sister’s House, Bridget’s Dream, Courage Worldwide, Opening Doors, the Rocklin Police Department, the Sacramento FBI, Origin Coffee (a nonprofit Rocklin coffee shop dedicated to fighting human trafficking) and National Council of Jewish Women.
