The university has grown from just 14 students to nearly 900 representing both the traditional graduate program as well as the school of professional studies. William Jessup University is known for training Christians for leadership and service in church and society, through Christian higher education, spiritual formation and directed experiences. Dr. Jackson was selected as president earlier this year after an extensive national search. He uses his time and talent to further God’s Kingdom, while helping Christians reach their full potential as Kingdom citizens. As his life mission statement, Dr. Jackson states, “I am a Kingdom-impact person. Therefore, I will invest my life for the cause of Christ in making Kingdom-impact people and organizations.” For the past 30 years Dr. Jackson held senior leadership roles in church and non-profit organizations. Previously, Dr. Jackson served as executive director of Thriving Churches International and as executive pastor at Bayside Church in Granite Bay. He is the founding pastor at LifePoint Church in Nevada and an associate trainer with Equip, a non-profit ministry of Dr. John Maxwell. Dr. Jackson has trained pastors, CEOs and other business leaders, along with meeting with members of Parliament and the Kenyan legal society, where he is a Purpose Driven Church trainer. He has also taught visionary leadership and ministry administration at the graduate school level.
