On April 4, Kings announcer Scott Moak will help honor individuals and organizations whose words and actions have made an extraordinary difference in the lives of children in Placer County.
To bring awareness about child abuse and prevention, KidsFirst has been hosting this community event and awards luncheon for 15 years every April during National Child Abuse and Prevention Month.
KidsFirst, formerly known as The Child Abuse Prevention Council of Placer County, holds this event to promote awareness about child abuse and its prevention. April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month and is designated by a blue ribbon. All attendees this year are encouraged to wear their favorite blue in honor of child abuse prevention month.
The event guest speaker will be Michael Pritchard, a nationally acclaimed keynote speaker praised by the Wall Street Journal, CNN and Time for his ability to use humor to inspire and educate his audiences on communication skills, anger management, diversity, conflict resolution and overcoming burnout and stress. He won first place in the San Francisco International Stand Up Comedy Competition, as well as winning the prestigious California Probation Officer of the Year.
KidsFirst wishes to acknowledge its current sponsors for this year’s event: Blue Ribbon Partners Kaiser Permanente and Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital and Sutter Roseville Medical Center; Champion Sponsor Hewlett-Packard; Leader Sponsors Emulex, Thunder Valley Resort and Casino and Westfield Galleria; and Friend Sponsors Rotary Club of Roseville Foundation, Gurnee & Daniels LLP, All-Cal Insurance Agency and TotlCom.
