Kiwanis Club of Rocklin met on Thursday, December 18th at 11:30am for their annual Christmas gift exchange at Woody’s Bar & Grill in Rocklin. Kiwanis president Jim Walsh introduced dignitaries Kathy Lund and Scott Yuill, city council members and City of Rocklin Fire Chief, Bill Mikesell. Each were given an honorary membership to Kiwanis Club of Rocklin. Jim Legler, former Lt. Governor for Kiwanis International, Division 44 was also in attendance. Other dignitaries were Sue Fisher, Manager of the local Rocklin K-Mart who was also given an honorary membership and Professor Donna Latham of Sierra College. Approximately 48 people attended this special Christmas luncheon celebration. There were so many attendees that Cynthia Sindrey decided to change the Pirate Gift Exchange to a Steal the Gavel gift exchange! Jerry Dizon’s State Farm Agency donated $100 toward the Kiwanis See’s Candy Fund Raiser. Xochilt Campos, Jerry Dizon’s business associate was there as well. We want to give Marc McLaughlin of Allstate Insurance a great big thank you for providing such great photos of this very fun function! He was busy taking pictures and came up with some great ones.
