Sierra College will host an art class with Diane Wood, an Auburn glass artist, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, and 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 2, at 5000 Rocklin Road.
The class will learn how to lay out glass, mount silver findings and how to use Dichroic glass colors.
This class covers the beginning of creating one-of-a-kind dichroic jewelry. Students will make three different styles of glass pendants and earrings. A glass kiln will run during the class and students will review how to run a kiln at home.
Bring a lunch, safety glasses, Elmer’s white glue, super glue and a Sharpie pen. All glass tools provided.
