Letter to Editor:Americans allowed to express opinion

-A +A
In response to ?Celebrate America over the top,? (Placer Herald, July 5): In America, still free citizens, religious organizations, charities, small business, corporations, etc., are not required to ?represent? any group or opinion. The reason the secular charities and community organizations were not ?represented? was because they did not fill out an application and pay for the booth. Trust me; knowing the crowd, they would have been welcomed! I applaud your free will decision to not attend the event next year. And rest assured the fighting men and women of the armed forces will continue to defend your freedom to ?choose.? Denise Jones, Rocklin
