Local company honored for campaign at Kings game

Greenheck Fan Company of Rocklin received the Outstanding New Campaign Star Award from United Way California Capital Region at a private awards ceremony that was followed by a Sacramento Kings basketball game on March 29. The company was one of 11 companies to receive awards at the event. Greenheck held a kick-off event that included a hot dog barbecue, food competition, Amazing Race challenge and more, said Steve Heath, president and CEO, United Way California Capital Region. Their campaign raised more than $12,000, and 85 of their 115 employees gave to the campaign 74 percent participation in their first year is impressive. United Way California Capital Region is the region’s leading provider of innovative solutions on the community’s most pressing issues, including high school graduation rates, household financial stability and obesity.
