Looking for ways to mix up a weekday rut?

The city of Rocklin recreation department has lots planned for the fall. If theater is you’re thing, there’s a Rocklin Community Theatre: Musical Theatre Basics workshop designed for all levels for ages 8 to 12. The workshop classes will be held from 3:30-5:30 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday through Oct. 21 at Finn Hall. A recital will he held from 2-4 p.m. Oct. 21 at Finn Hall. Grab your cowboy boots and hat for beginning and intermediate Country Line Dance classes. Classes will be held Wednesdays Sept. 1-22 at the Sunset Center, Sunset Room. The city also offers ballroom lessons held on Thursdays Sept. 2-23 at the Maidu Community Center in Roseville and ballet lessons Monday and Tuesday mornings and afternoons Sept. 14 to Oct. 5 and Sept. 27 to Oct. 18. To learn strength building, toning and to increase flexibility, Stretch & Fitness classes are offered from 11 a.m. to noon Monday, Wednesday and Friday Sept. 15 to Oct. 11. Aerobic Dance & Exercise classes will be held Sept. 1-29 from 9-10 a.m. also Monday, Wednesday and Friday. For artistic kids, there are a few classes offered. Rocklin Children’s Art will meet from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sept. 9-25 on Saturdays at the Sunset Center, room 104. Basics in Colored Pencil classes will take place Thursdays and Wee Play and Learn, a class with parents, will be held from 9-10:15 a.m. Mondays Oct. 4-25 at Pacific Oaks Preschool in Rocklin.
