Lund, 62, has been the general manager of the Lincoln newspaper for the past six years. During her career with the company, she has managed The Placer Herald in Rocklin and the Trader publications in Auburn and Grass Valley. At the board meeting, Lund also was honored for her 25 years of service. Other Gold Country Media newspapers include the Auburn Journal, Roseville Press Tribune, Granite Bay Press Tribune, Colfax Record, Folsom Telegraph and El Dorado Hills Telegraph. Other publications include the Auburn Trader, Granite Bay View magazine and Foothills Marketplace in Grass Valley. “I look forward to the wonderful opportunity to work with multiple communities and business leaders to offer better communications between the newspapers and the communities they serve,” Lund said. Lund owned the Foothill Trader until 1985, when she sold the publication to BCI and began her career with the company. Lund and her husband, Bruce Morrisseau, live in Lincoln. BCI is a privately held company with more than 60 daily and weekly publications in seven states. The company’s headquarters is in San Diego, where the annual board meeting was held. ~ Staff report
