Mail in Measure A votes early

Letter to the editor

A recent story may have inadvertently confused readers about Measure A for park funding. The story stated the day of the election as Aug. 25. Whereas, this is technically correct, it is important for voters to realize the realities of this all-mail ballot election. According to the Placer County Elections Division, ballots must be received by Aug. 25 to be valid. Postmarks will not count. Ballots will be mailed the end of July. I urge all voters to open their ballot immediately, review it and vote Yes on Measure A for our parks, and then return in the postage-paid envelope. Ensure your vote counts by mailing your ballot early. Yes on Measure A. Maria Trunzo, Rocklin
