Marijuana cultivations found at house fire

Marijuana plants were found on the scene of a morning fire on Twin Creeks Lane in Rocklin Wednesday morning. During the fire investigations, a Rocklin Fire Department arson investigator found three large marijuana plants growing in the residence. According to the news release, resident Joel Klingenberg, 24, provided officers with information that he was responsible for growing marijuana in the residence. There was no indication that sales occurred as a result of the marijuana cultivation. A small amount of dried marijuana was also found in Klingenberg’s vehicle. Klingenberg was arrested for the cultivation and transportation of marijuana. Investigation into the cause of the fire was determined to be unrelated to the marijuana cultivation. ~Staff report
