Marijuana delivered to resident's mailbox

-A +A
A Rocklin resident summoned police to report that a package was “returned to him” that he never mailed. The US Postal Service package contained over 1 pound of marijuana. On Dec. 7, upon checking his mailbox, the resident discovered a USPS medium-sized flat-rate box with his name and address as the “return to” addressee. A label affixed to the box indicated that the “ship to” address, within the Phoenix, Arizona, area did not exist. Inside the box were seven sealed bags of marijuana. The responding officer inspected the contents and, once at the police department, weighed the contents. The total weight was 1 pound. The estimated street value of the marijuana is from $2,000 to $4,000. There are no leads at this time as to who may have sent the marijuana to Arizona for attempted delivery. ~Staff report
