Nevada Union rallies to maintain lead in SFL standing

Rocklin struggles in third quarter

Nevada Union rallied from a halftime deficit to top the Rocklin varsity girls basketball team 63-58 Thursday night.

With three games left in  Sierra Foothill League competition, the Thunder (4-3) fall two games behind the Miners (6-1) after dropping their second game to the league leaders.

Lydia Summers kept the Thunder in the game late, scoring nine points in the final period.         But Nevada Union pulled away to maintain sole possession atop the SFL standings.

Rocklin will have a chance to get back on track Feb. 5, as the team heads to Woodcreek.
