-A +A
The newly formed Soroptimist International of South Placer recently gathered at the home of Trina Laird in Rocklin to celebrate the award of $1,000 presented by Emily Agelakopoulos of Wells Fargo Bank. The money will go toward the start-up of the club’s annual Women’s Opportunity Awards, which assist women by giving them the resources they need to improve their education, skills and job prospects. The South Placer group services Rocklin and surrounding areas with its main mission to improve the lives of women and girls in local communities and throughout the world. The South Placer group meets at 5:30 p.m. at R.C. Wiley at 6636 Lonetree Blvd. in Rocklin the first and third Tuesday of each month.
