SALEM, Ore., _ Corban University senior softball player and former Whitney High star Stephanie Nippert moved into the lead for the all-time career home run record in National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) history against Northwest University on Senior Recognition Day April 27.

Nippert also owns the career record for home runs in both Corban and Cascade Collegiate Conference history. She also became the first player in school and conference history to hit 20 or more home runs in three straight seasons.

Nippert is the only player in program history to be named Cascade Collegiate Conference Player of the Year and a NAIA first-team All American in back-to-back seasons. She is also the only player in program history to earn three straight NAIA All American awards, as she earned second-team honors following her freshman season.

Nippert graduated from Whitney in 2009 and is set to graduate from Corban May 4.
